Dear Mrs. Cline and Classmates:

I want to start off by saying I have had a great time in class and have learned some much. Everyone in this class this semester has been so helpful when needed and has been into all the conversations that were taken place. This class was definitely a great experience for me in many different ways. When I came into this class I wasn’t that big of a reader and now that I have had a chance to explore the wide span of literature out there, it has helped me open my eyes to more.
When I walked into this semester I wasn’t sure what to expect out of this English class because my English class last semester didn’t go so great. I came into this class with an open mind, but at the same time I was a little scared. I got to learn so many new things in this class that I never would have done if not for this class. At the beginning, setting up a blog was a blast, even though it took some time learning the steps. I can’t lie; it took about three times before I got the blog right. Once I got going and felt more comfortable, I pushed myself as much as I could. At the time I thought that was a lot, but by the end of class I have now realized that I could push even harder. When we analyzed poems, I realized I had to dig deep down inside myself to understand what the writer was saying. The poems that we had gave me a sense of myself and things I should do to better the things in my life and to keep pushing no matter what gets in the way.
The next couple readings were also of great inspiration for me because it has given me an opportunity to learn about the things that go on the present and past that I didn’t know as much detail about. The two books and the play that we read inspired me to never let the love in my heart disappear. When I read these books, I felt sadness for the characters, even though the books were fictional. Being able to take these writings and analyze them the way we did and challenge myself to lengths I never knew I could was something I thought I would never get to do.
I feel that I have become a better writer than I was, but I know every day I will be improving myself more with every move I make in school and in my daily routine. Looking back on the writings that I have done since the beginning of class has been an adventure and then trying to take a couple pieces of writings and revising them was I think the biggest challenge this semester. In order to make a good paper I have realized you have to have confidence in yourself to achieve what you want. Thank you again for the great adventure and Good Luck to everyone in the future.
